Troup House is a magnificent mansion house on three floors which has been refurbished and modernised to make it homely, comfortable and safe, including having state of the art fire prevention systems.
The grand hall leads off to the young people’s lounge, their dining room, library and kitchen as well as some smaller rooms. A range of games and books are readily available.
All young people have their own bedroom and each young person has been involved in choosing their décor. Some have en suite facilities whilst others share large bathrooms all of which are attractively decorated.
The house lends itself to creating a strong family-type environment. There is no doubt that every young person enjoys living in this welcoming home.
The school consistently refurbishes aspects of the building and grounds. Currently there is a rolling programme of replacing the windows.
A new greenhouse has promoted learning in gardening techniques and basic horticulture.
