Our young people are happy because of the strength of relationship they build with staff.  All members of staff know how to engage with vulnerable young people. A key worker and educator is allocated to each young person to develop a strong relationship, take lead responsibility for support and link with parents and carers.

The number of young people placed in Troup House is small ensuring a genuine sense of family. The school has a calm and positive ethos which promotes positive behaviour and supports young people to achieve. 

All staff in Troup House promote relevance and enjoyment in learning in children whose previous learning experiences have almost always been negative.
